The Racecourse Association
2007 is The Racecourse Association’s centenary year – we are proud to have represented British Racecourses and to have played a key role within the Racing Industry for 100 years.
The RCA is the trade association for 59 British racecources (including Great Leighs which is due to open early 2007).
The RCA’s activities fall into two broad catagories:
1. Member services
2. Representation Our main focus is to provide value for money services to the racecourses – they are our customers and shareholders and our first priority. However, the RCA has a wider role to play, working with the British Horseracing Board (BHB – soon to become the British Horseracing Authority – BHA) and other key associations in shaping the Industry.
The H.S.A. were instrumental in supporting the RCA to secure Levy Board funding to launch the RCA Sponsorship Unit in 1998 as well as providing invaluable advice in all sponsorship areas at this time. Indeed over the years since the RCA and HSA have and continue to work closely in a joint advisory and lobbying capacity on behalf of our members, as well as working on sponsorship promotional projects.
Mary-Ann Sandercock who heads the RCA Sponsorship Unit in a consultancy capacity also provides consultancy services to the HSA.
For information about sponsorship best practice, general sponsorship, opportunities to sponsor race series and nationwide sponsorships please contact Mary-Ann Sandercock on maryann@rcarcl.co.uk – or email her via this website – see Contact Us page.
